Robust DIN rail mounted PLC Controller with built-in IO & New Virtual HMI (USC-B5/B10/C5/C10)

This PLC only model offers a powerful CPU with built in IO options; the R20, T20, T24, TA30, TA32, TR22, R38, T42 and RA28 versions (more details on ‘Inputs/Outputs’ tab).

The UniStream system offers simple programming of the virtual HMI & PLC in a single programming environment, using the free UniLogic software package. A major step forward with excellent graphics capability and fast development of code.

The Virtual HMI on each PLC can be remotely accessed by using a VNC viewer from your smart phone, PC or other UniStream HMI touchscreen display.

Local IO is expandable to include 8 regular IO modules or 5 Wide modules. Dinrail mounted IO is also available via the XK expansion (8 additional modules) or XKP (16 additional modules).

This new range of UniStream PLC with built-in IO comes in 4 different versions, The B5, C5, B10 and the C10. All of these variations are identical in size but the more capable B10/C10 version supports Webserver screens and SQL functionalities. The C5 & C10 versions are identical to their B5 & B10 counterparts but the C variations are UniStream Cloud PLCs, supplied with a pre-paid 5-year Start-up Subscription plan with no monthly subscription fee.

The B5/C5 & B10/C10 versions of this PLC can act as an ftp server or client and can communicate using a variety of industry standard protocols such as CANbus, EtherNet IP, Modbus and SNMP.
An inbuilt Web server on the B10/C10 versions allow the display of HTML pages via a web browser which can be created by the single press of a button.

Description

This PLC with virtual HMI and built-in IO can be controlled via traditional HMI touch panel or phone, tablet & PC. The B5/C5 & B10/C10 models are easily expanded and joins the B3 with a new selection of HMI only touchscreens; The new 5″, 7″, 10.1″ & 15.6″ HMI Displays compliment this new range perfectly allowing a single screen to connect and control multiple PLCs.

All the power of the modular UniStream PLC system but with IO either built-in to the DIN rail mounted PLC or expandable with IO attached directly to the side of the PLC to reduce costs and increase installation flexibility. No complicated configurations or IO calculations just choose what you need for your project and expand further if necessary. Simple Configuration to suit your application

  1. Select your HMI touch panel – 5″, 7″ & 10.1″
  2. CPU is built into the new 5″, 7″ & 10.1″ UniStream so you just have to choose between the Pro (B10) Version, the Standard (B5) Version
  3. With the new 5″ 7″ & 10.1″ built-in IO model you can choose whether you want just the HMI panel or IO built into your PLC with the various IO models available. All of the built-in IO UniStream models can be expanded further with IO/Com modules – these can be attached using the UAG expansion adapters.
  4. Download and install the intuitive easy to use UniLogic Programming Software to seamlessly program your HMI and PLC at the same time in the same environment.
  5. You will then have a compact control solution complete with an easy to program HMI and PLC tailored to suit your specific requirements.

UniStream PLCs allow IO to be attached to the back of the PLC, directly connected to the CPU unit.
If you would like IO to be placed away from the PLC and DIN-rail mounted, then an Expansion cable/ EXP Kit is required.
The Expansion cables/ EXP kits below range from 1.25M to 30M & are either powered or non-powered depending on the IO you wish to attach and will enable the use of any UniStream IO to be mounted away from the PLC.

If you would like to connect remote IO over CANbus then the following Expansion adaptor is required.

The EX-RC1 adaptor is a stand alone network adaptor that connects to up to eight IO modules via ribbon cables but then connects to the master PLC on a CANbus network. The CANbus cable is user supplied.

The EX-RC1 Expansion module can be connected to a UniStream PLC to allow the use of DIN-rail mounted IO modules over CANbus.

Model Comparison
